The JEE (Advanced) 2026 examination witnessed strong participation with nearly 1.8 lakh candidates appearing and 56,880 qualifying. Shubham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone secured All India Rank 1 with 330 out of 360 marks, while Arohi Deshpande emerged as the top-ranked female candidate with AIR 77. The IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, and IIT Delhi zones recorded the highest numbers of qualified candidates, reflecting their strong overall performance.

Qualifying Criteria

  • To be included in a rank list— candidates had to satisfy both:
  • Minimum subject-wise qualifying marks— and
  • Minimum aggregate qualifying marks.
  • For the Common Rank List (CRL):
  • Minimum marks per subject: 8/120
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 92/360
  • Minimum percentage per subject: 7.30%
  • Minimum aggregate percentage: 25.56%
  • Relaxed qualifying criteria were applicable for reserved categories and PwD candidates.
