Railway Recruitment Board RRB Railway, has released a Notification on its official website for the recruitment of Technician posts. This recruitment is being conducted for 6557 vacancies. The RRB application process has started on 30 June 2026, and candidates can apply until 29 July 2026. The minimum age limit is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 30-33 years as on 01 July 2026. Eligibility

Candidates must have a BE/B.Tech— Engineering Diploma, or B.Sc. in Engineering. For Technician Gr-III (Open Line, Workshop & PUs), candidates must have passed Class 10th with an ITI certificate in the relevant trade or Class 12th with PCM subjects.
Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.

Computer Based Test (CBT)
Document Verification (DV)
Medical Examination
There is no interview.
Shortlisting for DV is based on CBT merit.

CBT Pattern

Objective-type questions
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Negative marking: ⅓ mark deducted for every incorrect answer.

Important Instructions

Apply online only.
Only one application per pay level is allowed.
Separate application and fee are required for Level 2 and Level 5 posts.
Aadhaar verification is recommended.
Carrying prohibited electronic devices to the CBT can lead to disqualification.
Candidates providing false information or using unfair means may face lifetime debarment.
